In short
Jason Wiley, Chief Strategy Officer at PureCars, explains why the company bought AutoAlert: its field and training teams, and a data mining and campaign engine PureCars would have needed years to build. He covers what it means for current customers and employees, and PureCars' goal of marketing across the whole customer lifecycle.
- Jason says less than 10% of dealers used both PureCars and AutoAlert, so most stores on either platform haven't seen the combined offering.
- AutoAlert adds close to 300 people, including field training and in-store support teams, roughly doubling PureCars' size and in-person presence.
- PureCars plans to pair its AutoMiner CDP and digital advertising with AutoAlert's data mining and campaign engine, linked to the DMS and CRM.
- Nothing changes right away for existing customers. Jason says your account manager or dealer success manager is the place to start with questions.
- The stated goal is one platform for sales and service marketing, giving OEMs, LMAs and dealers the same data, dashboards and campaign tools.

The conversation
People first: AutoAlert's field and training teams
Jason looks at deals people first, technology second. AutoAlert brings close to 300 employees, a strong reputation and large customer experience, dealer service and field training teams that put in-person store relationships first. He says the deal roughly doubles PureCars' size overnight and gives it far more in-person presence across the United States and Canada, which PureCars had already identified as a growth need. The two leadership teams spent six to eight months getting to know each other.
Jason's view is that auto retail is still a relationship business, where vendors have to treat customers right, listen to them and act on their feedback, and he says AutoAlert shares that belief. Brian welcomes the extra field presence. Since COVID, he says, many vendors have gone fully remote, and dealers rarely get visits.
At the end of the day, this is still just really a relationship business.
Jason Wiley▶ 2:17AutoAlert's campaign engine joins the AutoMiner CDP
Before the deal, Jason says, PureCars was best known for digital advertising: more than 30 OEM certification programs, every Google, Meta and Amazon product and, by his account, one of the largest media publishers at the tier three level. Three years ago it bought the AutoMiner, a CDP built around clean first-party data, transparency and less wasted marketing. It already recognizes customers on dealer websites and builds AI audiences for digital, direct mail and email campaigns.
What PureCars lacked was AutoAlert's campaign engine and expertise, which Jason says would have taken years to build. AutoAlert adds deeper data mining, API connections to dealers' DMS and CRM, and two-way links with platforms such as DriveCentric and CDK. Brian calls it a smart build-versus-buy decision: AutoAlert spent more than 10 years tuning its models, and he says building an automotive CRM alone takes five to eight years.
What the deal means for dealers on either platform
Jason says less than 10% of dealers use both companies, which surprised the team and strengthened the business case. For dealers, the pitch is one provider that helps them understand their first-party data and act on it, with equity mining they can run themselves or with a rep, and one marketing company accountable for execution. He acknowledges that dealers are right to be skeptical of one provider doing all of that, but argues that integration is what makes their lives easier.
Nothing changes right away, Jason says; the integration will take time. He notes how hard it is to get vendors with separate revenue goals to integrate and share data, and Brian adds that it's political, with the dealer caught in the middle. Brian adds that it isn't all or nothing: dealers can keep the agency they trust, and his own agency, PCG Digital, already works with the PureCars AutoMiner team on shared clients.
Dealers are rightfully so skeptical about having one provider be able to do all that. But I also think the dealers really want that because they want to be selling cars.
Jason Wiley▶ 13:43Inside the companies, a merger rather than an acquisition
Jason says PureCars communicated with staff early, before the news went public. On paper it's an acquisition, but internally PureCars treats it as a merger of two large companies, and he hopes AutoAlert's people see it as a chance for innovation and career growth. Underneath, he says, both companies work with the same data: vehicle, consumer, dealer, manufacturer and incentive data. Brian argues that AutoAlert on its own, without a CDP, would have faced headwinds, and predicts that a small handful of companies will end up helping dealers unify, clean and activate first-party data with ROI tracking.
The goal: marketing across the full customer lifecycle
Jason's north star is complete customer lifecycle management across sales and service. AutoAlert's strength in service lane marketing matters here: when retail ad budgets tighten in a volatile economy, after-sales marketing has to carry more weight. He wants OEMs, LMAs and dealers to see the same insights, dashboards and campaign tools in a transparent, non-black-box way, so OEM trigger campaigns can run at the dealer level and dealers can trust that their money isn't wasted.
Brian calls it the holy grail, because service marketing is so often disconnected from the showroom. He has received service coupons two weeks after a visit, and mileage estimates once told him his rarely driven Corvette, with 3,000 miles on it, was due for its 12,000-mile service. He says telematics data and one ecosystem that controls the cadence, quality and context of communication can fix that.
The biggest frustration for dealers is that service marketing is so disjointed from the showroom experience.

Questions this episode answers
Why did PureCars acquire AutoAlert?
Jason says it was people first: AutoAlert's close to 300 employees and its field training and in-store support. Second, its data mining and campaign engine complements PureCars' AutoMiner CDP and digital advertising, and would have taken PureCars years to build.
What changes for current AutoAlert customers?
Nothing right away. Jason says the integration will take time. Dealers should take questions to their account manager or dealer success manager, who have been briefed on the combined offering.
What is the AutoMiner?
PureCars' customer data platform, bought about three years before the AutoAlert deal. Jason says it helps dealers clean and store their first-party data, recognize customers on their website and build AI audiences for digital, direct mail and email.
Do dealers have to move all their marketing to PureCars?
No. Jason describes one provider as an option for dealers who want it. Brian adds that it isn't all or nothing: dealers can keep their agency and still use the AutoMiner.
How many dealers use both PureCars and AutoAlert?
Less than 10%, according to Jason. He says the small overlap surprised the team and made the business case for the deal clearer.

Brian Pasch0:00Hi, this is Brian Pasch. Welcome to another exciting podcast interview. Today, we get behind a recent acquisition by PureCars for AutoAlert. I have Jason Wiley, the Chief Strategy Officer for PureCars with me. Jason, welcome to the show.
Jason Wiley0:26Brian, thank you. As always, the pleasure is mine. Thank you for taking the time out to talk with us today.
Brian Pasch0:31Yeah, you know, what I thought would be great is to understand, you know, the strategic positioning, what you saw in this opportunity, and then the benefit for dealers. So let's start. When you came on board, you said to me, look, we're growing, we're investing, we're looking for new ways to expand our platform to better serve dealers. So when you looked at some of the acquisition opportunities in the marketplace, why did AutoAlert feel like a good fit?
Jason Wiley1:02It's a great, it's a great question. I tend to look at things from a kind of a simplified lens of people first, technology second. And there were so many different synergies that aligned up between the two organizations. First and foremost, they're really well known, obviously, with inside the industry, they've got a great reputation in terms of, you know, their dealer footprint, their dealer connectivity, their training abilities, their in-store support models. And when you look at the, there's a lot of checkboxes there from the people first, like kind of culture, right? Second, when we were kind of trying to blend and see, you know, you talk about what this is.
Jason Wiley1:45This is, in essence, doubling the size of PureCars right overnight. And so there's a culture.
Brian Pasch1:50That's amazing. How many people were part of the AutoAlert team, Jason?
Jason Wiley1:55So close to 300, close to 300. And, and when you think about kind of starting to blend those teams together, you know, then we spent a lot of time over the past, like, you know, six to eight months, you know, working with their C-suite team, getting to know them. And there was a lot of synergies there in terms of approach, in terms of belief systems that I think are still ultimately the most impactful things for the auto industry. At the end of the day, and this may sound a little bit, a little unique, but at the end of the day, this is still just really a relationship business.
Jason Wiley2:24You still have to treat your customers right. You got to listen to your customers. You have to take feedback and stuff from them. That is both a PureCars thing. That's one of the reasons why I chose, you know, to join up with the PureCars team. But what I was really overwhelmed with was that was very synergistic with the AutoAlert team. They focus so much on providing a good experience with their dealers. And it's, and it's evident in terms of the sizes of their, both their kind of CX and dealer service managers teams, the sides of their training field teams that's out there. They really put physical in-person relationships with their stores at the top of the list.
Jason Wiley2:59As I was in PureCars was thinking about the growth trajectory, we, there was a very specific strategy there from the people standpoint, they absolutely helped level us up in that area. There's a ton more opportunities for in-person presence that we have now across the United States and Canada with our, with our dealers. It was one of the things that we've kind of identified that is a growth opportunity for PureCars to be more physically present with our dealerships. So a big portion of this was that, right?
Brian Pasch3:31You know, and I like that because, you know, post COVID, many vendors have gone completely remote. Dealers don't get a lot of, you know, vendor visits. Um, this is also a company that was selling a service, a, let's say a, a, a very tailored marketing product, which kind of aligns into what you're selling. Meaning the way I saw it, and maybe you can correct my vision is AutoAlert had really finely tuned, uh, automation to look for opportunities for revenue within. The dealers, the dealers, DMS, and they perfected a marketing message, media package, you know, the graphics that are OEM compliant. And to me, I was like, man, this fits in perfectly with the AutoMiner PureCars strategy is this is an activation, you know, uh, fork for the company that already has existing customers already has proof of performance.
Brian Pasch4:43And maybe elevates those marketing activation campaigns. What, how would you, you know, respond to that's how I kind of looked as, wow, this could be a really good fit.
Jason Wiley4:55Well, you don't, you don't, you don't get to be Brian Pasch for no reason. I mean, that you're spot on, right. You're spot on with that. The second component of this, right. Once you have the cultural fit, you have the people, you have kind of the, you know, the in-store presence, like spread. That was like one of the top things that we talked about when I first started getting over PureCars is if we really want to grow, we have to expand both our sales teams and we really have to grow our in-person things. Those were top of the bucket, you know, fundamentals. What you're talking about is really the second component of what makes a strategic fit actually work, which is really the, the complementary, um, data and the complementary technology that those two teams have.
Jason Wiley5:30And so the simplest way that, um, that I've tried to articulate this to kind of our client partners, our OEMs, our dealer partners is if you think about, if you think about what PureCars by itself prior to the AutoAlert acquisition did really well, it was really kind of three pillars for PureCars. It was, you have, everybody knows us as being like kind of a, you know, Lauren Donalson, our CEO likes to, likes to say it's, and I totally agree with her. It's the Titan of DigiAd, right. We're in 30 plus different, you know, OEM certification programs. Um, we have every single Google product, every single meta product, every single Amazon product.
Jason Wiley6:07We're one of the top, if not the top, uh, media publisher in terms of media dollars passing through at the tier three level. So you had, you know, really this legacy PureCars DigiAd side, um, three years ago when we bought the AutoMiner, right. That was a major pivot pivot and a major wake up to the industry to go, Hey, we're dead serious now about cleanliness of data, about, uh, how help helping dealerships understand their first party data, about helping dealerships reduce their overall wasted marketing costs.
Brian Pasch6:38Correct.
Jason Wiley6:39Um, and about giving dealerships transparency to their own data and giving them a mechanism that they can use to store that with inside the AutoMiner CDP. Today, the CDP and the AutoMiner thing has the campaigning abilities, right. We've, we've, we do do a lot of, we have like AI audiences. As an example, this is a product that we offer right now where we're able to take all the dealerships, first party data, uh, basically recognize the customers that are on their dealerships website, gain insights through our third party DMP that we have and actionize off of that to drive campaigns, both digitally and traditionally, because we have like a lot of direct mail and email.
Jason Wiley7:14But what we were missing though, and it's not really missing, it's more about, it would take us from a product level, you know, a few years to be able to get our product to the campaigning engine and the expertise that the AutoAlert has. And so this was a immediate jumpstart and an immediate, um, approach to being able to do better, deeper dive data mining with inside the ecosystem to have more of the connectivity from APIs with the dealerships, DMS and CRMs, um, to be able to have better bi-directional communication with all the other third party, you know, platforms that are out there, the DriveCentrics, the, you know, the deal, all of those, the CDKs.
Jason Wiley7:57And so when we looked at their business and we said, not only do we get, you know, the people, but that also means we have additional product and engineering people, additional program managers, additional project managers, all that. But really what we're doing is the centerpiece there of the campaigning and the activation portion for the dealership. They arguably do it better than anybody else. It made all the sense in the world to combine those technology pieces together, um, which is why we think we're very poised for, you know, a lot of growth in the next coming years. Excuse me.
Brian Pasch8:31That's what I saw, Jason. I look, you know, I've known the AutoAlert team for a long time and through lots of different management changes, but they had a product and for whatever reason, I think that they lost a little momentum in the market just from a leadership standpoint. And I always wonder, man, that everyone was talking about AutoAlert at one time. It didn't mean that the product degraded or got worse. It's just, we've all seen this, Jason, in automotive leaders, change, founders change, and then things, who knows what happens. When I saw this, I was like, PureCars is on this ramp. And as you start ramping up and in more OEM accounts and more dealer accounts, they're going to demand more.
Brian Pasch9:17And for me, it was like, this is super smart because, uh, they've taken, I mean, how many years of AutoAlert's, you know, been on the market, 10 plus years of tweaking, perfecting, you know, the models. It's kind of like people who think they can build a CRM in a year. You know, it's, I mean, honestly, it's like, oh, I'm going to build a CRM. And then they come out and it's horrible. And then they come out with version two and it's horrible. And then they come out with version three. I tell people building a CRM is a five to eight year project in automotive because of the complexity.
Brian Pasch9:53And you're absolutely right. It was a build versus buy. You were already doing some equity communications, some, uh, declined service communication through the AutoMiner. But now this is like a sledgehammer.
Jason Wiley10:08Yeah.
Brian Pasch10:09To breaking through to the consumer and engaging them. So what are we telling dealers? I think that's the most important thing I want to, you know, talk to you about. And the great news is, is that Lauren Donalson, CEO of PureCars will be at DMSC and we're going to be airing this interview just before DMSC. There's a lot of M&A activity this month coming up. The DMSC, um, your announcement this month. And then there will be three altogether leaning into a fourth announcement at DMSC. There's a lot of activity. So the good news for dealers who are going DMSC, your team, uh, led by Lauren as CEO will be at DMSC.
Brian Pasch10:53But what do you tell them to dealers who, hey, is this good for me? Do, do I have to buy AutoMiner? Where, where is the, the, the kind of path forward for existing AutoAlert dealers?
Jason Wiley11:10Great question. Um, so I'll, I'll let you into, uh, you know, kind of a little bit of the cross sell opportunities and stuff of this too. Cause there's, when you take a look at the, uh, the combined companies and, uh, one of the things that actually shocked us, uh, the made, you know, the business strategy of this make a lot of sense was, um, there's less than 10% overlap of dealers that have both, both engines.
Brian Pasch11:34Right. That's amazing opportunity for you.
Jason Wiley11:37It's a, it's a, it's an incredible opportunity because at the end of the day, it still takes, it still takes profitability and it still takes revenue growth in order to continue to do the things that we want to do. Right. Um, but for the dealers directly, right. This is about giving them better support. This is a hundred percent about listening to the dealers and solving some of the biggest problems that the dealerships have. When you, your point about CRMs, like how difficult it is to like build that. When you actually kind of step back and you think about the dealership community as a whole dealers have so many different vendors that they're partnering with.
Jason Wiley12:12They have so many different companies that are, that they're trying to solve. And the, the difficulty in getting those companies to talk together, to work together, to have data integrations together, to give the dealerships, the transparency that they desire to get other companies with separate revenue goals and separate revenue objectives and all that kind of stuff to like actually help the dealer. It's very difficult to do that, right. It's a,
Brian Pasch12:39and I'm going to say, amen, amen. It's not only difficult, but it's political and the dealer gets caught in the middle.
Jason Wiley12:48The dealer gets caught in the middle a hundred percent. And, um, this is for the dealer community. This is about giving them an option to choose for them to see what happens when one provider can help them understand their first party data, help them gain the actions and the insights about that. They can actually drive proper real talk marketing decisions at the dealership level. It's about giving the dealership one person as an opportunity, right. To have one place where they can go in and do the data equity, equity mining, where a platform where the dealership can do it themselves, or they can work with one of the PureCars slash AutoAlert reps to find that.
Jason Wiley13:34And it's about giving the dealership one marketing company to be able to ultimately high five or choke the throat, you know, um, for the execution of it.
Brian Pasch13:43Right.
Jason Wiley13:43And when you combine, like what we believe truthfully is that dealers are rightfully so skeptical about having one provider be able to do all that. But I also think the dealers really want that because they want to be selling cars. They want to be servicing vehicles. They want to be on the showroom floor taking care of their clients. They want a partner that can make their lives easier. And the only way to make their life easier is to actually do it in an integrated fashion, systematically and thoughtfully. And I think if you take a look at, you know, PureCars growth over the last really like five to six years, um, they've been steadily under the guidance of diversists.
Jason Wiley14:26And, you know, they've been steadily bolting together these really specific, not fast, not, we're not trying to go bite off everything. I'm not buying a website company right now at the same time that I'm buying a, you know, a data mining pool. We're buying a complementary company that can help us grow towards that vision, which ultimately still has dealers at the heart. And we think that we can do it the right way. And so the other thing I will say to the dealers too, which I think is maybe a little apropos, but I think it's critical is that it's, there's nothing that's changing tomorrow. Right.
Jason Wiley15:00Like this is, um, this is, this is going to take some time to get it. The things that we are going to do for dealers is offer better promotions and incentives and stuff for the dealerships to combine one. So an example of that, just to give you a shameless plug, right. Is any dealer across the whole entire, uh, any dealer across any OEM that signs up for both DigiAd as, as well as, uh, the data mining services and this tool with, uh, AlertMiner Pro, uh, will receive a thousand dollars off lifetime value of the, of the, of the combined entities. So there's a immediate, there's an immediate win for dealers, you know, that if they want to combine those, if they've been thinking, you know, I need my data mining company to be able to action and do my DigiAd.
Jason Wiley15:40I'm looking for an additional AI conversation and, you know, help on any of the ecosystems there, any dealership that does a combined package with us, we're offering a thousand dollars off right off the rip.
Brian Pasch15:49Um, and Jason, I want, I want to take a little tangent here just to talk to dealers who are AutoAlert customers and are hearing Jason and saying, wow, this combination, I could have really the majority, if not all of my customer digital outreach under one room. You may be saying, you may be saying, you may be saying, you know, but I got this great agency that's been with me a long time. And I just want to let you know that our agency PCG digital works perfectly with the PureCars AutoMiner team. In fact, we are recommending people saying, look, I need a turnkey, uh, CDP marketing automation, uh, that will work with you, meaning like in collaboration, helping with strategy, helping with creative.
Brian Pasch16:43And I just want to let dealers know that just because PureCars has the AutoMiner CDP and data hygiene hub, and then all the activations. It's not an all or nothing. And I think this is super important because dealers who are saying, I want the best tech, but I also like the advice of my local agency and their creative there. There's this collaboration or openness. So we, as an agency don't feel threatened by a client who wants to use AutoMiner because we can all work together and bring our best to the table. So I just want to let dealers know that maybe they weren't aware of it, but, um, the PureCars team is not isolationists and, uh, that's made collaboration easy for our existing shared clients.
Brian Pasch17:39Jason.
Jason Wiley17:40Yeah. I, I thank you for that, Brian. I mean, in all sincerity, um, when it takes a village to, to properly help a dealership achieve the goals that the dealership wants to achieve. When I look at my own personal career and, uh, and kind of like the spot that I'm, you know, at right now, I'm, I'm humbled by it, but there's always raining themes of things that I've stuck with. And it, and it goes back to the, it goes back to the dealership. And, um, you know, I've sat on both on the agency side and been that, you know, agency that was trying to work with the different partners.
Jason Wiley18:12I have a unique perspective of it, but I think like what, what our approach really is and what PureCars and this AutoAlert acquisition is really trying to do is say that. We are for the dealer. Like we truthfully are all the automation, all the different things that we've built from a technology and a data standpoint are supposed to augment the dealerships, personal goals and strategies that they have.
Brian Pasch18:32That's right.
Jason Wiley18:33We are, are, we will grow and become better when we're listening to and, um, customizing our approach based upon the dealers. And with your team, that's been one of the biggest fruits and the biggest benefits that we've had from you guys too, is just, you know, pay it back. It's like, we also learn from you, you know, we, we, we get challenged greatly. And, um, so long as, you know, I'm part of the, you know, any part of the leadership team here, our, our job is that a leadership team is to have open ears and to be knowledgeable about the fact that we don't know everything.
Jason Wiley19:04We've got a really good idea about what we're doing, but there's always a way to be able to approach this so that the dealer or the client or the OEM benefits better.
Brian Pasch19:11And, and I couldn't agree more with what you just said. You know, Jason, you mentioned people and it's funny, you know, when I hear of M&A activity, I always think of the tech and, you know, how would I market in if I was the CEO? I, I, I love the fact that one of the key reasons was this increases your field team. Um, it increases, um, your dealer footprint, which I think was super smart, but of course you have employees on both sides kind of worrying like, Hey, is this good for me? Do I still have my job? You know, what's your message to AutoAlert employees that, um, of course now everyone knows that this, uh, you know, acquisition has happened.
Brian Pasch19:54What's your message to them and to the dealers who maybe love their account managers?
Jason Wiley20:00Yeah, that's a great question. Uh, so this won't come as a shock to any of them because we've been very, we have been doing this the right way. We've been taking a very aggressive approach with communications internally before any of this stuff happened out there. Um, I will say to you that the, what this is about still is, is it's about still creating an opportunity for growth for individuals at the combined company entities. Now, in order for a company to do the things that we want to do in order for the company to grow to the level that we want to do, my message to them is, is, um, both welcome aboard.
Jason Wiley20:34It's a family. We are, we love you. We, there's a, we, we could not from the PureCars side, we could not be more excited to have the assets and the people of AutoAlert as part of the team. It's an acquisition is what they called on paper. We're really internally viewing this as a merger of two really big companies coming together to join this.
Brian Pasch20:56Yes.
Jason Wiley20:56You know, we brought it, but my message publicly is that as well, this is about combining two great companies. This is about growth and with, to the employees, this is an opportunity. When I think about, you know, I'm hoping, and this is a very hopeful sentiment, um, which I know could potentially be a little naive, but I'm hoping that this gives the AutoAlert folks, the, um, the shot of innovation and injection that they've been looking for. Um, I'm hoping that they go, Oh my God, we're now on a, on a rocket ship if we want to be, but that, but also because the, the two things about it, you're, you're right.
Jason Wiley21:33Like, um, when you think about both PureCars and AutoAlert and you go down to the simplest form at the underlying part of that, the data is all still kind of the same thing. It's still vehicle data, consumer data, dealer data, manufacturer data, incentive data. You know, it's, it's all the same data that comprises both the manifest of like the AutoMiner CDP with us or their alert minor pro programs or the CXM programs. It's all the same thing. That's like power and all that. Um, what this is really about for that team is like, buckle up. It's like, we're going to go, you guys have great tech.
Jason Wiley22:07You have, there's an opportunity to really take advantage of that. And I hope what people take from both AutoAlert and PureCars sincerely, what I hope that they take is a, is a, is a renewed sense of opportunity because, um, this is, it creates career growth for them. If for the right people stepping up, seeing us and helping us do this, it's, it's not me, it's not our executive team that's going to do this. It's the, it's everybody working together towards a common vision and a common goal. And I hope that they can be excited about the innovation and recognize that there's true career growth opportunities for them to take off and to grow.
Jason Wiley22:46That's what this is really about.
Brian Pasch22:47You know, Jason, I see that, and I've even said it publicly that, uh, if I was an AutoAlert employee, uh, you guys have all the momentum, you know, uh, AutoAlert did not have, uh, I don't care about revenue and profitability. That's not my business. I'm just talking about market buzz momentum. And here's the reason why you recognized early with the acquisition of the AutoMiner that, uh, data hygiene, data, centralization, data activation at the core relies on accurate, clean data. You saw that. And of course you saw that being able to empower better marketing outreach, better cadence of communication. So, you know, AutoAlert on its own Island without a CDP, without a mindset like that would eventually run into some headwinds even stronger than the market has.
Brian Pasch23:41So if I was an AutoAlert employee and say, Hey, I'm, I'm going to market with a CDP, with a multi-channel media deployment across every campaign and our specialized AutoAlert. So I would say to the employees, like buckle up. I like that buckle up, get your digital ad, uh, training done because this is an exciting time. I think the future will be that there will be a, a small handful of players who are helping dealers, uh, unify, uh, clean and maintain their first party data and then activate it with, uh, tracking and ROI. So this, this made a complete, complete sense. Um, Jason, one last thing, um, as you continue to grow, um, what's the North star for you?
Brian Pasch24:37You mentioned, uh, really helping the dealer out. And of course you and I've been in this industry a long time and I know that, but what's your North star for next steps? Where do you see the whole PureCars platform? Because, you know, AutoAlert had some, uh, you know, other products in their portfolio. What, what, what, where do you want to tell dealers you're heading? Meaning I think dealers always want to bank on a winner. And so they want to know what the future looks like. What would you tell dealers your directional North star is for the next year?
Jason Wiley25:12It's really about completing the customer lifecycle management totality. It's in the end sales and service full retail, you know, another big component of the AutoAlert, you know, piece for us was, um, just how great they are at service lane marketing. And that, you know, doing the after sale side of the business, right? So I can't let go of that enough. If you, especially if you think about kind of macroeconomics, I'm not here to get into politics, but macroeconomics about things, it's a little volatile, right? And when you have for a company like us, uh, when, you know, ad dollars and stuff like tighten up a little bit on, uh, the retail side of the house, there needs to be an offset and an opportunity for us to take advantage
Jason Wiley25:57and still continue to grow on the after sales parts marketing service side, right?
Brian Pasch26:01Correct.
Jason Wiley26:02But what that really means though, the North star is being able to give both OEMs and dealerships complete visibility and control of their data to do it in a transparent, non-black box way to be able to give, whether you're a tier three dealer, a tier two LMA, a tier one OEM, access to the same insights, the same reporting dashboards, the same campaigning abilities. So that the OEMs can talk intelligently at their tier two and their tier three level and have one ecosystem that can do all of the, both kind of like, you know, trigger-based campaign communication style of things that have to happen at the OEM level, as well as, uh, but they're ultimately executed at the tier three level.
Jason Wiley26:47Um, but it's, it's really about the whole entire customer journey throughout the life cycle of their, I think dealerships have been asking for that, you know, um, dealerships want to know that their marketing dollars at the end of the day are being appropriately placed, are not being wasted. Uh, dealerships, uh, dealerships, uh, dealerships, are not being wasted. So, uh, dealerships, are not being able to help a dealership understand and trust us that those dollars are going the right way. And what this is really about is being able to break into and, um, really dominate the full customer life cycle management from the whole thing, right? That's what it's about.
Brian Pasch27:41That's, that's the holy grail. You know, I always say that the biggest frustration for dealers is that service marketing is so disjointed from the showroom experience. We've all received service coupons two weeks after we serviced our car. We've also, you know, received, Hey, you haven't serviced your car. And, you know, for me, when I had, uh, my Corvette that I hardly ever drove, uh, having estimate the mileage and, you know, the car had 3000 say it's time for your 12,000 mile service. But today with telematics, the integration of telematics data, I mean, we, we, we, we can do so much better. It is the holy grail. Um, one ecosystem that controls the cadence quality context of communication over sales service and life cycle. So this is exciting news. Um, Jason, I know that you won't be able to be at DMSC, but Lauren, uh, PureCars CEO, and the whole team will be there.
Brian Pasch28:42Uh, please let Lauren know that there's going to be lots of questions from dealers and, uh, be ready because the DMSC conference brings out the, the most progressive, the most, um, aggressive dealers who want to, uh, leverage their first party data to sell more cars in a digital age. Um, Jason, what's the best way for dealers who are either on AutoAlert or the PureCars platform to get more information on these synergistic, realistic opportunities to unify these platforms?
Jason Wiley29:16Great question. I think if you've already got a relationship with us, just reach out directly to your account manager, your dealer success manager, whoever it is that your relationship is with that at either of those in two entities. Um, internally, we have been, uh, we have been prepping very aggressively, our whole entire team with, uh, knowledge about what the, you know, the incentives are, how that actually operates, what that looks like. We've been talking with all teams across, uh, both companies, um, about what the future means, what this holds. Um, and so they are very well versed at those things. Uh, obviously if you're, uh, not a client, then if you go through either one of the websites, you go to either autoalert.com or purecars.com. Um, there's form fills and submissions and stuff that are on there. Um, and you know, there's an easy way to get in contact with us directly on both of those websites. Also, if you can just, any of the LinkedIn stuff, I mean, we're all over the place right now.
Jason Wiley30:08Um, but there's many, many places to be able to get to us. We would say we welcome the opportunity to discuss any question with anybody that wants to talk with us. It's a very exciting time. And, um, uh, and it's, it really is a big deal. And we, we know that we're also heads down, but, um, you know, but, uh, but we would welcome any conversation with any partner across the business, no matter how big or small you are.
Brian Pasch30:32Great. Well, uh, for everyone listening in April, 2026 will be one of those months. It was the merger and acquisition and rebranding month. Wait till you see all the announcements that are coming in the, in, in the days leading up, uh, to DMSC. If this is the first time you're listening to one of our podcasts, you should know that I interview the thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and tech giants of automotive retail. So make sure you listen in to all the DMSC rollup podcast interviews that we, as we get excited for this coming weekend. So in just a few days, we are all meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona at the Westin Kierland Resort for three days to really explore what the future of digital marketing, AI automation, data hygiene, and well, some surprises, um, that helped define the future of automotive retailing.
Brian Pasch31:24So if you haven't made a decision to come out, there's a few dealer tickets left. You can go to digitalmarketingstrategies.org. If it's too late, you can't make it make sure you mark your calendar for November for the Modern Retailing Conference in Palm Beach, Florida. It's a great place to be in November and another great conference as we explore the future of modern retailing. Jason's thank you for your time today. Are you pumped about the future of PureCars?
Jason Wiley31:53Couldn't be more excited about it, Brian. A lot of work to go do, but, um, I think everything that you would hope for is here and the opportunities there. And as a, as a, you know, a fellow entrepreneur, you know, that when you have the opportunity in front of you and you see the vision and you have a confidence, the team that you can pull that vision off. Um, and that's why we get up and go to work, baby, let's go do something big. So yes, very much. And thank you, uh, Mr. Pasch for all of your time. It's hard for me to not call you Mr. Pasch because you started, uh, uh, shepherding a young Jason in his early twenties, a long time ago. And, but I just want to tell you, thank you.
Brian Pasch32:32You and I talk, not everyone knows this. You and I talked before you stepped into this role. And here's what you said. I want to get into something where I can leave my mark and, um, not just some horizontal, you know, uh, fill check the box job. And, and this has been nothing but an exciting time for you and Lauren, as you work together to build PureCars. So congratulations on that for everyone listening in. Make sure you check out all the highlights from the DMSC conference. We'll be sharing online until next time. Have a great day. And we'll see you next time on another podcast episode.
Brian Pasch33:16Bye.
