The initial release of the ASC Specification outlines 36 named events and 50 parameters that are designed to give OEMs, dealers, and agencies greater insights to online shopping activities. The ASC Specification also introduces a new data layer to allow multiple products on a dealership’s website to send a rich set of parameters into the dealer’s GA4 account.The ASC Specification has been a labor of love with countless hours of collaboration, meetings, and testing which has enabled the Council to release this standard for the automotive industry. The specification will be a special benefit for dealer groups that have a mixture of website platforms and vendors across their franchise dealer network.
